Government Reduces Levy on Petrol, Increases Levy on Diesel

ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: The government has reduced the levy on petrol while increasing the levy on diesel, effective from today, according to a Petroleum Division document.

The levy on petrol has been reduced by Rs 9.24 per liter, bringing the levy down from Rs 116.08 to Rs 106.24 per liter. The levy on diesel has been increased by Rs 8.67 per liter, raising it from Rs 44.59 to Rs 53.26 per liter. The levy on kerosene oil remains unchanged at Rs 20.36 per liter.
