Karachi – Web Desk: Gold prices have seen a significant increase both globally and in Pakistan’s local markets.
In international bullion markets, the price of gold rose by $39 per ounce on Monday, reaching a new level of $4,532 per ounce.
Following global trends, local bullion markets also recorded a substantial hike. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs 3,900, bringing the new rate to Rs 475,962. Similarly, gold per 10 grams rose by Rs 3,343, reaching Rs 408,060.
Silver prices also followed the upward trend. Globally, silver reached $70.40 per ounce, while locally, silver per tola increased by Rs 70 to Rs 7,524, and per 10 grams by Rs 60 to Rs 6,450.
Market analysts attribute the surge to ongoing global economic uncertainties, foreign exchange fluctuations, and investor demand for safe-haven assets like gold.
