Global bullion rally pushes gold and silver to record levels in Pakistan

Karachi, Pakistan | Web Desk: Gold prices jumped sharply in global and local markets on Tuesday after a three-day pause, driven by a strong rally in the international bullion market.

In the international market, the price of gold surged by $240 per ounce, reaching $4,916, reflecting heightened investor demand and global market volatility.

Following the global rise, gold prices in Pakistan increased by Rs24,000 per tola, taking the rate to Rs514,362 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs20,576 to Rs440,982.

Silver prices also witnessed a significant increase. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs741 to Rs9,146, while 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs636 to Rs7,841.

Market analysts attribute the surge to international economic uncertainty, currency fluctuations, and increased safe-haven buying in the precious metals market.
