(Web Desk) – Gold and silver prices registered a strong increase in local markets on Monday, in line with a notable surge in global bullion rates, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Global gold rates cross $5,000 Mark

In the international market, gold prices climbed by $53 per ounce, pushing the rate to $5,020, reflecting continued strength in global demand.

Local gold prices typically follow movements in international markets, with Monday’s increase largely attributed to the surge in global bullion rates.

Silver prices also record gains

Silver prices followed a similar upward trend, with silver per tola increasing by Rs346 to Rs8,615.

The price of 10 grams of silver also went up by Rs296, reaching Rs7,385 in the local market.
