Washington, USA – Web Desk: A recent Gallup International survey has revealed a sharp rise in global disapproval of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with 61% of citizens across 58 countries labeling him as the world’s most disliked leader.
The survey, comparing 2023 data with 2019, shows a 20% increase in negative perceptions of Netanyahu globally. Critics have singled out his role in alleged human rights violations against Palestinians.
The highest level of disapproval was reported in Iran, where 98% of respondents expressed strong negative views. Significant disapproval was also recorded in Europe, with 52% in the United Kingdom and 42% in the United States marking Netanyahu as unfavorable. In Pakistan, 49% of respondents viewed him as the most disliked political figure.
Conversely, Netanyahu enjoys notable support in countries including Azerbaijan and Kenya, where 58% approve of his leadership, and India, where 50% of respondents expressed support.
This survey highlights growing global polarization over Israel’s policies and the international image of its leadership.
