Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Field Marshal Asim Munir met Lebanese Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief General Rodolphe Haykal at Pakistan Army General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where both sides discussed regional security, defense cooperation, and military-to-military relations.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Haykal was presented with a Guard of Honour upon his arrival at GHQ before holding talks with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff. The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security environment, and opportunities to enhance bilateral defense cooperation.
Both military leaders agreed to strengthen professional engagements, institutional ties, and training collaboration between the armed forces of Pakistan and Lebanon. Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding defense relations with Lebanon and highlighted the importance of the longstanding friendly relationship between the two countries.
General Rodolphe Haykal praised the professionalism, operational readiness, and capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace, stability, and international peacekeeping missions.
The two sides reiterated their shared commitment to deepening military cooperation and promoting stronger institutional linkages between the armed forces of Pakistan and Lebanon.
