Ankara, Turkiye – Web Desk: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, has arrived in Turkiye on a two-day official visit to engage with the country’s military and political leadership, according to security sources .
The COAS was given a warm reception upon arrival at the airport. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Turkish leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest, including the evolving regional security landscape and opportunities for strengthening bilateral defence and military cooperation .
The visit underscores the deep-rooted strategic partnership and historical ties between Pakistan and Turkiye. The two countries have a history of close defence collaboration, including high-level military dialogue and joint exercises .
The trip comes amid a series of high-level military engagements by Pakistan’s top leadership to bolster defence diplomacy and deepen strategic partnerships across the region .
