Web Desk – International Entertainment News: British pop star Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million lawsuit against technology company Samsung Electronics, alleging unauthorized use of her image in a commercial advertising campaign.
According to international media reports, the singer claims that Samsung used her photograph without permission, leading to a violation of her image rights and creating the impression that she endorsed the company’s products.
The lawsuit states that the image was taken during her performance at a 2024 music festival and later used in Samsung’s promotional campaign for its TV-related products. Her legal team argues that all rights to the image remain with the artist and that no consent or payment was provided.
The filing further alleges that the image was used in a major commercial project without the singer’s knowledge or approval. It also claims that Samsung continued using the image despite a request from the singer’s team to remove it.
The legal action seeks damages under copyright infringement, trademark violations, and California’s right of publicity laws.
Samsung has not yet issued an official response regarding the case.
