Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan – Web Desk: At least three children have been killed after a school roof collapsed in Dera Ghazi Khan, while rescue operations are ongoing amid fears that more students may be trapped under the debris.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the site after receiving an alert regarding the collapse of the school building.
Rescue officials confirmed that eight individuals have been pulled out alive so far, while three bodies have also been recovered from the rubble.
Authorities said that the search and rescue operation is still underway, and there are concerns that additional students may still be trapped beneath the debris.
School administration sources indicated that more children could be inside the collapsed structure at the time of the incident.
Officials added that Rescue 1122 received the emergency call at 1157 and immediately mobilized teams to the location. Further updates are expected as the operation continues.
