Rescue 1122 evacuates over 270 guests as blaze engulfs multistorey hotel

Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: A deadly fire erupted at a multistorey hotel in Lahore, killing three people and injuring several others, while more than 270 guests and staff were safely rescued, officials confirmed.

According to Rescue 1122 Punjab, the fire emergency call was received at 12:25 pm from the Indigo Hotel, prompting an immediate large-scale rescue response.

The operation involved 27 emergency vehicles and over 80 trained rescue personnel, who carried out evacuation and firefighting efforts across the building.

Authorities identified the deceased as Imran (30), Shehryar (25), and Riyaz (40). The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Officials said the hotel consists of 19 floors, including three basements, spread over four kanals, with Basement One severely affected by the fire.

The search and rescue operation has been completed, while investigations are underway to determine the cause of the incident.
