Court Issues 14th Arrest Warrant for Alima Khan in Protest Case

Date:

Rawalpindi (Web Desk) – The Anti-Terrorism Court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the 14th time against Alima Khan in connection with the November 26 Sadikabad police station protest case.

During Tuesday’s hearing, the court also issued warrants for both of Khan’s guarantors and ordered their arrest and presentation before the court on February 24. The two last investigating officers in the case were summoned as witnesses.

The prosecution argued that Alima Khan was deliberately obstructing the trial, requesting the termination of cross-examination rights and the appointment of a state lawyer to move the proceedings forward.

The court expressed strong displeasure over the repeated absence of the accused and her counsel, ultimately issuing arrest warrants and directing authorities to present her in court.
