Clash in Senate Committee; Female Senator Demands Removal of Aleem Khan from Federal Ministry

Date:

ISLAMABAD: A heated exchange took place between Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan and Senator Palwasha Khan during a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Communications, with both adopting strong positions against each other.

The confrontation erupted when Senator Palwasha Khan questioned the ministry’s performance and raised an issue regarding a road project.

During the meeting, the federal minister remarked that “all the dishonest people of the world are gathered here,” and addressing Palwasha Khan, said: “I will expose your deeds before everyone. How dare you speak to me like this?”

Senator Palwasha Khan responded that the minister lost his temper because he was embarrassed. She demanded that the committee issue a ruling on the minister’s behavior.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Senator Palwasha Khan said: “If the federal minister wants to talk about me personally, he may do so, but the committee must give a ruling on this conduct.”
