China Unveils Fastest Humanoid Robot Near Usain Bolt Speed

Date:

Beijing, China – Web Desk: A Chinese robotics company has unveiled what it describes as the world’s fastest humanoid robot, capable of running at speeds approaching those of elite human athletes.

The robot, named Unitree H1, has been developed by Unitree Robotics and is powered by advanced artificial intelligence systems. According to the company, the robot can reach a speed of 10.1 meters per second on an athletic track—an impressive benchmark in robotics engineering.

While performance figures may vary slightly, the speed places the robot close to the average pace of Usain Bolt, who set the 100-meter world record in 9.58 seconds in 2009, averaging approximately 10.44 meters per second.

The lightweight humanoid robot weighs around 62 kilograms and is equipped with a gear system, advanced sensors, and cameras that enable it to maintain balance and navigate environments independently. Demonstrations show that the robot can recover from external pushes and continue moving without losing stability.

Despite its high-speed capability, observers note that its running motion still appears mechanical compared to human athletes.

Unitree Robotics said the robot will participate in a robot marathon scheduled in China on April 19, highlighting rapid advancements in AI-driven humanoid mobility.

The development marks a significant step forward in robotics, with potential applications in industry, research, and automation.
