Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: China has pledged to purchase $17 billion worth of agricultural products from the United States over the next three years, according to a White House fact sheet released following talks between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump.
The White House said the new commitments exclude a previous agreement made in October 2025 related to US soybean imports. The announcement is being viewed as a significant step in strengthening trade ties between the world’s two largest economies amid ongoing global economic uncertainty.
The fact sheet also confirmed remarks by the Chinese foreign minister regarding plans to establish a US-China Board of Trade and a US-China Board of Investment to improve bilateral economic cooperation.
Earlier, President Trump told reporters at the White House after returning from his China visit that major trade agreements had been reached and relations between Washington and Beijing remained strong.
