Bus Crash Near Pentagon Injures 23, Including Soldiers

Washington, D.C., United States – Web Desk: At least 23 people, including 10 military personnel, were injured in a major collision involving two commuter buses near the Pentagon on Friday morning, authorities said.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m. local time, prompting a large-scale emergency response and heightened security measures in the surrounding high-security zone.

According to the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, the crash involved buses operated by OmniRide and Fairfax Connector on a metro access road near the Pentagon complex.

Emergency services, including fire crews and ambulances, rushed to the scene and transported 23 injured individuals to nearby hospitals for medical evaluation. Five others received treatment at the site and were later released.

Officials said the cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and investigations are ongoing. Initial reports about the incident varied as authorities worked to assess the situation.

The crash triggered increased security protocols in the area, though officials confirmed there was no immediate indication of a security threat linked to the incident.
