(Web Desk) – Pakistan captain Babar Azam has ended his Big Bash League (BBL) campaign prematurely, returning home to join the national team ahead of the series against Australia.
The Sydney Sixers confirmed his unavailability for the remaining matches.
Babar Azam, who represented the Sydney Sixers in the ongoing BBL, will not play in the remaining matches of the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) called him back for national duty, prompting his early exit from the Australian league.
In a statement, the Sydney Sixers thanked Babar for his contributions and announced on social media that he would no longer be available for the Challenger and final matches.

Babar shared a heartfelt message for his fans and teammates:
“I thank the Sydney Sixers coaches and players. I have enjoyed my time here a lot. Unfortunately, I have to leave the team for national duty,” he said.
He added, “I am very grateful for the love and support of the fans. The time spent here will always be remembered, and I pray for the team’s success in the upcoming matches.”

During his stint with the Sydney Sixers, Babar scored 202 runs in 11 matches, including 19 fours and three sixes. His departure marks the exit of all Pakistani players from the Big Bash League this season.
The Sydney Sixers are set to face the Hobart Hurricanes in the Challenger match, with the winner advancing to take on the Perth Scorchers in the BBL final on Sunday.
