Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s decisive military actions along the border, the Afghan Taliban regime has opened discussions for potential negotiations with Pakistan.
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated in a press conference that Afghanistan has consistently sought dialogue with Pakistan to maintain regional peace. He emphasized that, in the context of the recent conflict, negotiations remain the preferred path to resolving tensions.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s caretaker Foreign Minister, Mullah Amir Muttaki, held a telephonic conversation with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. According to the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussion focused on ways to reduce Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions and enhance peace and stability in the region.
These diplomatic moves come less than 24 hours after Pakistan’s military conducted robust retaliatory operations against cross-border attacks, signaling a potential de-escalation following heightened tensions.
