PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan dismisses speculation about any deal involving Imran Khan, saying the party founder does not compromise on principles.
ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has rejected speculation that party founder Imran Khan could enter into a political deal, saying the former prime minister does not compromise on his principles.
Gohar made the remarks while responding to questions about reports and speculation surrounding Imran Khan’s political and legal situation.
According to Geo News, the PTI chairman said Imran Khan had consistently maintained his position and did not believe in making deals for personal or political advantage.
Gohar Rejects Deal Speculation
Gohar said there was no basis for speculation that Imran Khan was negotiating a deal.
He maintained that the PTI founder had remained firm in his political position despite the challenges facing him.
The remarks come amid continued political uncertainty surrounding Imran Khan, who remains incarcerated in Adiala Jail while several legal cases involving him continue.
Gohar’s comments were aimed at dismissing speculation about a possible arrangement involving the PTI founder and the government.
PTI Maintains Political Position
The PTI leadership has repeatedly called for the release of Imran Khan and maintained that the party’s political struggle will continue.
Gohar has also previously emphasised the importance of pursuing the party’s legal and political matters through constitutional and judicial channels.
The latest statement reinforces PTI’s public position that Imran Khan’s political strategy has not changed.
Imran Khan’s Legal Challenges
The former prime minister remains at the centre of Pakistan’s political debate, with his supporters continuing to demand relief in the cases against him.
PTI has also been pursuing legal remedies concerning Imran Khan’s treatment in custody and his access to medical care.
The party recently filed a contempt petition concerning the implementation of a Supreme Court order related to Imran Khan’s proposed transfer to Shifa International Hospital for medical treatment.
The development has added another legal dimension to the ongoing dispute between PTI and government authorities.
Political Uncertainty Continues
The speculation over a possible deal comes as Pakistan’s political environment remains tense.
PTI continues to maintain that Imran Khan’s release and political rights are central to its strategy, while the government has rejected allegations that legal proceedings against the former prime minister are politically motivated.
Gohar’s latest comments are therefore likely to reinforce PTI’s message that the party founder intends to continue his political and legal struggle rather than seek a negotiated settlement.
