Sanaa, Yemen – Web Desk: Yemen’s Houthi movement on Saturday claimed responsibility for operations targeting Saudi Aramco facilities in the Saudi cities of Jizan and Yanbu, according to a statement issued by the group’s military spokesperson, Yahya Saree.
The announcement was reported by Reuters, which cited the Houthi statement. The group did not immediately provide details about the type of weapons used, the extent of the alleged operations, or whether any damage was caused.
Saudi authorities had not issued an official statement confirming the reported attacks at the time of publication. There were also no immediate reports from Saudi Aramco regarding damage to its facilities or any disruption to oil production or exports.
Jizan, located in southwestern Saudi Arabia near the Yemeni border, and Yanbu, a major Red Sea port city, are home to key Saudi Aramco energy facilities that play an important role in the kingdom’s oil refining and export operations.
