Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said that recent US strikes in southern Iran killed more than 30 civilians, including two women, according to an official government statement.
Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Separately, Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour said more than 260 people were injured in the attacks, including women and children under the age of 18.
Kermanpour added that 222 of the injured have been treated and discharged from hospitals, while the remaining patients continue to receive medical care.
The casualty figures and statements have not been independently verified, and US authorities had not immediately commented on the claims at the time of publication.
The reported casualties come as tensions between Iran and the United States continue to escalate, with increased military activity across the Gulf region and growing international concern over regional stability.
