London, United Kingdom – Web Desk: The United Kingdom is set to experience its third heatwave of the summer, with temperatures expected to remain above 30°C for up to 10 consecutive days, according to weather forecasts.
Reports indicate that temperatures could climb to 34°C by the middle of the week, raising concerns over the impact of prolonged extreme heat across parts of the country.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued an Amber Heat Health Alert for Midlands, Eastern England and Southern England, effective from 8 July to 21 July, warning that vulnerable people could face increased health risks due to the hot weather.
A Yellow Heat Health Alert has also been issued for Northern England for the same period, urging residents to take precautions as temperatures continue to rise.
Meteorologists say the prolonged spell of hot weather could place additional pressure on healthcare services, transport networks and public infrastructure, while health officials have advised people to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and regularly check on elderly and vulnerable individuals.
The latest heatwave comes as several parts of Europe continue to experience unusually high temperatures linked to persistent summer weather patterns.
