Pezeshkian Says Khamenei’s Martyrdom Marks a New Chapter for Iran

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the martyrdom of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei marks the beginning of a new chapter rather than the end of Iran’s struggle.

According to Iranian state broadcaster Press TV, President Pezeshkian delivered a special message to the nation ahead of the official state funeral, saying the loss of the country’s leader would further strengthen the Iranian people’s determination, unity, and spirit of resistance.

“Our leader’s martyrdom is not the end of this path but the beginning of a new chapter,” the president said.

Pezeshkian reaffirmed that Iran would continue to safeguard its national sovereignty, core principles, and strategic interests with greater resolve. He said the country’s leadership would move forward with the confidence of the Iranian people and a renewed commitment to national unity.

The Iranian president also urged citizens to demonstrate patience, solidarity, and unity during what he described as a critical period, calling on the nation to play its role in preserving stability and security.

He further pledged that Iran would remain steadfast in pursuing its national goals and policies, adding that the sacrifices of those who had lost their lives would not be forgotten.

The statement comes as preparations continue for the official state funeral, where senior political, religious, and government representatives from several countries are expected to attend.

Political analysts believe the president’s message is aimed at reinforcing public confidence and national cohesion amid ongoing regional tensions.
