Tel Aviv, Israel – Web Desk: Israel warns of possible conflict with Iran amid rising regional tensions
Israel’s Defence Minister has warned that tensions with Iran could escalate into open conflict again, claiming that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Iran’s Supreme Leader, is “on Israel’s target list.”
According to international media reports, the Israeli minister said the security situation in the region remains highly volatile and suggested that renewed military confrontation could emerge within days if threats against Israel intensify.
He stressed that if Israel perceives a serious threat to its national security, it will not wait for approval or authorization from any external party before taking military action. The minister added that Israel reserves the right to make independent decisions regarding its self-defence and will act whenever necessary to protect its security interests.
The remarks come as diplomatic efforts continue to ease tensions between the United States and Iran, with multiple regional and international initiatives aimed at preventing further escalation and encouraging dialogue.
Political and security analysts believe the latest statement could heighten tensions across the Middle East, where relations between Iran and Israel have deteriorated significantly in recent months, leading to several direct military confrontations.
Experts warn that the coming days could prove critical for regional stability. If diplomatic efforts fail, the Middle East could face another period of heightened military confrontation, potentially affecting global energy markets, maritime trade, and international security.
There has been no immediate official response from Iranian or US authorities regarding the Israeli minister’s remarks.
