Trump: Iran Would Face ‘Hell’ if It Pursues Nuclear Weapons

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: President Donald Trump has asserted that Israel would not exist without American support, issuing a stark warning that Iran would face devastating consequences if it attempts to acquire nuclear weapons.

In a meeting with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Washington on Tuesday , Trump reflected on his role in supporting Israel, stating, “If it weren’t for me, Israel would not exist” . He emphasized that his decision to act against Iran was driven by the goal of preventing Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons .

“If Iran tries to obtain a nuclear weapon, we will unleash hell upon them,” Trump declared during the meeting. “The deal with Iran must succeed. This agreement serves as a wall against nuclear weapons.”

The President also suggested that Russia should pursue a similar agreement, and expressed satisfaction with Qatar’s role in managing regional affairs, saying, “I am happy with how Qatar handled the situation.”

Trump’s comments come as the U.S. prepares for a formal signing ceremony of the Iran memorandum of understanding scheduled for Friday, June 19, in Switzerland . The agreement is expected to include a commitment from Iran to never acquire nuclear weapons , though specifics on the nuclear stockpile remain unresolved .

“I believe a fair deal has been struck with Iran,” Trump added. “We are not making any investments in Iran. The most important thing for me is that Iran never has nuclear weapons.”
