Trump Calls Iran $300M Payment Claims ‘False Propaganda’ by Democrats

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: President Donald Trump has categorically denied reports suggesting that the United States has agreed to pay Iran $300 million, dismissing the claims as baseless “false propaganda” orchestrated by Democrats.

In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump asserted that there is “no truth” to any reports of financial assistance to Tehran and that no such agreement is under consideration.

“Reports that the US has decided to give Iran $300 million are completely false. This is propaganda being spread by Democrats,” Trump wrote in his post.

The President also made a significant claim regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions, stating that Tehran has agreed to never acquire nuclear weapons as part of the ongoing diplomatic engagement.

“Iran has agreed that it will never acquire nuclear weapons,” Trump declared without providing specific details about the nature of this commitment or whether it is formally codified in the pending memorandum of understanding.

The administration’s denial comes amid ongoing debate over the broader US-Iran agreement, scheduled to be formally signed on Friday. Critics and lawmakers have raised questions about potential financial transfers as part of the deal, while the White House continues to defend the pact as a pathway to regional stability.

Observers note that Trump’s statement appears aimed at countering political criticism, particularly from Democratic quarters, as the administration works to secure domestic support for the agreement ahead of its formal signing.
