Pakistan expects US-Iran peace deal finalization within 24 hours

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the United States and Iran are very close to reaching a peace agreement, expressing hope that the deal could be finalized within the next 24 hours.

In a statement shared on social media, the prime minister said Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the agreement and expects technical-level negotiations to take place next week.

Sharif thanked both the United States and Iran for their continued commitment to diplomacy and their constructive engagement throughout the negotiation process. He said he believes the anticipated agreement could become a historic step toward promoting lasting peace, regional stability, and greater cooperation in the Middle East.

The prime minister also tagged U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, envoy Steve Witkoff, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in his post.
