Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Pakistan’s efforts to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the United States continue as Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran for high-level meetings, according to official sources.
Arab media reports cited sources saying Naqvi is expected to discuss mechanisms for a possible understanding involving frozen Iranian assets. Differences reportedly remain over the size of the funds and the timeline for their release.
Sources also claimed that former US President Donald Trump has informed mediators that negotiations should not exceed 60 days, placing pressure on Tehran to respond swiftly.
Officials said Naqvi is carrying a special message for Iran’s Supreme Leader from Pakistan’s military leadership. He has also been directed by the Prime Minister to engage in talks aimed at easing regional tensions.
During his visit, Naqvi held multiple meetings with Iranian officials, including Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, reviewing regional security developments and matters of mutual interest.
Pakistan continues to position itself as a facilitator in ongoing diplomatic efforts amid shifting regional dynamics.
