Trump Says US Near Iran Deal on Enriched Uranium Talks

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: President Donald Trump has said that negotiations with Iran are progressing positively and a potential agreement could be reached within days, including discussions over the transfer of enriched uranium to U.S. custody.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said talks with Iran were “going well” and a breakthrough could come by the end of the week, adding that both sides were close to signing a deal.

He said the agreement, if finalized, could lead to the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and help ease regional tensions. Trump also suggested efforts were being made to separate the Iran talks from broader regional issues, including developments in Lebanon.

According to the U.S. president, discussions are ongoing regarding Iran handing over its enriched uranium, while reiterating that Tehran must never obtain nuclear weapons.

Trump further claimed that Hezbollah has assured it will not launch attacks against Israel, as diplomatic efforts continue alongside security negotiations in the region.

The comments come amid ongoing high-level talks aimed at preventing further escalation in the Middle East and addressing concerns over Iran’s nuclear program.
