WASHINGTON – Web Desk: The former director of the US National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, has urged the withdrawal of American troops from the Middle East before they are wounded or killed.
In a statement on social media, Kent said he prays for US soldiers deployed in the Middle East, but they need to be withdrawn before suffering casualties. He stated that US bases and naval vessels within Iran’s range have become strategic liabilities rather than strategic assets, and their presence enables Iran to restart the war on its own terms.
