Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized Iran, accusing Tehran of delaying tactics and “playing games” with the United States and the international community for decades.
In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump claimed Iran had been misleading Washington and its allies for the past 47 years while benefiting from previous U.S. policies.
The former president also criticized former U.S. President Barack Obama, alleging that his administration adopted a soft approach toward Tehran and provided Iran with significant financial relief under past agreements.
Trump said Iran had received billions of dollars in assets and financial support, which he claimed strengthened the country economically and politically. He further alleged that Tehran used delays and negotiations to its advantage while regional tensions continued to escalate.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran over maritime security, regional conflicts, and nuclear-related disputes in the Middle East.
Trump also accused Iranian authorities of suppressing protests and warned that Washington would no longer tolerate what he described as repeated deception by Tehran.
The Iranian government has not immediately responded to the latest remarks.
