Iran Prepares Legal Bill on Strait of Hormuz Measures

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian lawmaker Ebrahim Azizi has announced that a legal bill concerning the Strait of Hormuz has been finalized and will soon be presented for parliamentary approval.

According to international media reports, Ebrahim Azizi, who heads the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, said the proposed legislation would be tabled in an open parliamentary session once the activities of the Iranian parliament resume.

He added that after approval by the Iranian parliament, the bill would require clearance from the Guardian Council before officially becoming law.

Iran has recently intensified its rhetoric regarding the Strait of Hormuz amid rising regional tensions and ongoing geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East. The waterway remains one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes, carrying a significant portion of global energy supplies.

Analysts say any legal or military steps involving the Strait of Hormuz could have major implications for global oil markets, shipping operations, and regional security.
