Washington, United States – Web Desk: The United States has imposed sanctions on several individuals and companies accused of helping Iran obtain weapons-related materials, according to the US Treasury Department.
In a statement, the United States Department of the Treasury announced sanctions against 10 individuals and entities allegedly involved in supporting Iran’s weapons procurement network.
The sanctions target individuals and companies based in China and Hong Kong, whom US authorities accuse of assisting Iran in acquiring raw materials linked to the production of Shahed drone systems.
According to US officials, the sanctioned network allegedly facilitated the transfer of sensitive materials and components used in Iran’s drone manufacturing program, which has faced increasing scrutiny from Western governments in recent years.
The latest sanctions come amid heightened tensions between United States and Iran over regional security, military activities, and Tehran’s defense programs.
Analysts say the move reflects Washington’s ongoing strategy to disrupt supply chains connected to Iran’s military and drone capabilities, particularly as concerns grow over the use of unmanned aerial systems in regional conflicts.
