Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran has placed its air defense systems on high alert in Tehran following reported attacks near the Khashm Port and Bandar Abbas areas, amid escalating regional tensions.
According to international media reports, Iranian security and military agencies have intensified defensive measures across the capital, with air defense systems reportedly active in multiple parts of Tehran.
U.S. media outlets claimed that American forces carried out operations near Iran’s Khashm Port and the strategic port city of Bandar Abbas. Iranian officials alleged that an Iranian oil tanker was also targeted during the strikes.
Iran accused the United States of violating the ceasefire agreement, warning that the latest actions could further destabilize the Middle East. Iranian military commanders said any act of aggression would receive a “decisive and strong response.”
Meanwhile, U.S. officials stated that the recent operations should not be interpreted as the end of the ceasefire, a position Tehran has rejected.
At the United Nations, Iran’s envoy criticized a U.S.-backed resolution as “biased,” claiming it was designed to justify American military actions in the region.
The Iranian representative also dismissed allegations regarding the placement of naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz, calling the accusations “baseless and misleading.”
Iran further blamed U.S. and Israeli policies for the ongoing crisis, saying regional peace could only be achieved through an end to war, pressure, and economic sanctions.
