Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Iran has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for facilitating the safe return of its citizens via Pakistani territory after being repatriated through a U.S.-linked arrangement, according to official statements.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability, the Foreign Office said.
During the call, Araghchi briefed Ishaq Dar on his recent visit to China and consultations on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
He also thanked Pakistan for providing facilitation in the safe repatriation of Iranian nationals and appreciated Islamabad’s continued diplomatic and humanitarian support.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and maintaining close coordination on regional peace initiatives and matters of shared concern.
