Pakistan – Web Desk: Sri Lanka has officially confirmed its participation in the upcoming tri-nation One Day International (ODI) series scheduled to be hosted in Pakistan, with preparations for the event now accelerating.
According to media reports, the series will feature the Pakistan national cricket team, Sri Lanka national cricket team, and the England cricket team. The tournament is expected to serve as a key preparatory platform ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.
Sources indicate that the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has formally agreed to take part, while England’s participation is also anticipated, with discussions ongoing among cricket boards to finalize the schedule and logistics.
The series is likely to be held between October and November this year in Pakistan, with Lahore and Karachi being considered as potential host venues.
Reports further suggest that Sri Lanka’s tour may also include T20 matches, with the possibility of a subsequent Test series being discussed as part of a broader bilateral and multi-format cricket itinerary.
Pakistan has previously hosted successful multi-nation cricket events, and this proposed tri-series is expected to play an important role in team preparations for upcoming global tournaments.
