Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has claimed that policies linked to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have cost the United States up to $100 billion, sharply criticizing Washington’s handling of the ongoing Iran conflict.
In a statement, Araghchi alleged that the Pentagon had understated the true financial burden of the conflict, arguing that the actual cost of the Iran war could be four times higher than officially reported figures.
He further claimed that indirect costs borne by American taxpayers are significantly higher, estimating that the average US household is facing an additional monthly burden of around $500, which he said continues to rise.
Araghchi also criticized what he described as a policy approach prioritizing Israeli interests over American ones, stating that such strategies ultimately come at a cost to US citizens.
His remarks come amid heightened geopolitical tensions and ongoing debate over the economic and strategic impact of US involvement in Middle East conflicts.
