Iran Tehran Airport Resumes International Flights

Date:

(Web Desk) – International flight operations from Tehran’s main airport are being gradually restored, with services to Muscat and Istanbul set to resume, according to Iran’s official news agency Tasnim.

The report stated that international flights from Tehran will officially restart on Sunday, marking a key step in the phased reopening of Iran’s air transport network following recent operational disruptions.

Authorities said the country began a structured, multi-phase plan to resume aviation services starting April 18. In the initial phase, flights were restored in eastern regions, followed by the reopening of major airports, including Imam Khomeini International Airport, on April 20.

Officials described the move as part of efforts to normalize air travel operations and improve passenger convenience while restoring connectivity with key regional destinations.

Aviation analysts note that the resumption of Iran’s airspace operations could positively impact regional connectivity, international flight routes, and commercial aviation activity across the Middle East and beyond.
