Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s naval forces have been effectively destroyed, while sharply criticizing a recent analytical report published by The Wall Street Journal.
In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump asserted that Iran’s navy had been “sent to the bottom of the sea,” adding that the country’s air force and air defense systems had also been severely degraded.
The U.S. president further claimed that Iran’s radar systems were no longer operational and that its nuclear laboratories and storage facilities had been destroyed. He did not provide independent evidence to support these assertions.
Trump also said that ongoing U.S. sanctions and a naval blockade were costing Iran approximately $500 million per day, intensifying economic pressure on Tehran.
In his remarks, Trump criticized the Wall Street Journal’s analysis, suggesting that Iranian leadership had underestimated him, while claiming that previous U.S. administrations had allowed Iran to gain strategic advantages over the past four decades.
“Iran has taken advantage of every U.S. president except me,” Trump wrote, adding that his policies had inflicted significant damage on Iran’s economy and military capabilities.
The comments come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with conflicting claims and limited independent verification making it difficult to assess the full extent of the situation on the ground.
Analysts note that such statements reflect the ongoing information war accompanying geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, where both sides continue to assert competing narratives.
