Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir, has concluded his three-day official visit to Iran, emphasizing dialogue and de-escalation to address rising tensions in the Middle East.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief held high-level meetings with Iranian leadership, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, senior parliamentary officials, and the foreign minister. He also met Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander at the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters.
Discussions focused on regional security, ongoing diplomatic efforts, and the importance of sustainable peace and stability. Munir stressed the need for dialogue and conflict resolution through diplomatic channels amid escalating geopolitical tensions.
The ISPR said the visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region, particularly through negotiations rather than conflict.
Munir expressed gratitude for Iran’s hospitality and conveyed goodwill messages on behalf of Pakistan’s leadership and people. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations with Iran.
