Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran are progressing steadily, with talks set to continue over the weekend as efforts intensify toward a potential agreement.
Speaking at an event in Arizona, Trump stated that the United States would secure Iranian nuclear material as part of the proposed deal, emphasizing that Iran would not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons under any circumstances. He added that the agreement would not involve any financial exchange.
The U.S. president reiterated his appreciation for Pakistan’s leadership, describing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir as “strong personalities” who played a significant role in recent diplomatic efforts.
Trump also thanked several Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, for their support and cooperation during the process, praising their “extraordinary resolve.”
He further claimed that NATO had reached out offering assistance, but said the United States does not currently require support from the alliance, suggesting instead that NATO needs the U.S.
Analysts say the continuation of negotiations signals ongoing diplomatic engagement, although key differences between Washington and Tehran remain unresolved.
