Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in Tehran, as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at easing regional tensions.
According to Iranian media reports, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties and discussing regional security dynamics, particularly in the context of rising tensions in the Middle East.
A day earlier, Field Marshal Munir also held talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and hosting negotiations between key stakeholders.
Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region, describing ties with Pakistan as “deep and strategic.”
Pakistan’s military media wing, ISPR, stated that the visit is part of Islamabad’s broader mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, aimed at encouraging diplomatic solutions.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also accompanying the Pakistani delegation during the high-level visit.
