Beijing, China – Web Desk: China has proposed a four-point initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, emphasizing regional cooperation, international law, and respect for national sovereignty.
The proposal was outlined during a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Beijing.
According to Chinese state media, President Xi stressed the need to establish a “collective and comprehensive security framework” for the Middle East, describing it as essential to long-term regional stability.
He warned against a return to what he described as a “law of the jungle” in international relations, calling instead for the strengthening of international law and multilateral cooperation.
Xi Jinping further emphasized that the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Gulf countries must be fully respected. He also called for the protection of individuals, infrastructure, and institutions across the region.
The Chinese president underlined that development and security should advance together, stating that economic growth and stability are mutually reinforcing goals for the region.
Analysts say the initiative reflects Beijing’s growing diplomatic engagement in Middle Eastern affairs, as China seeks to position itself as a key mediator in global conflicts and a supporter of multipolar international relations.
