Washington-Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has claimed that a large number of empty oil tankers from around the world are heading to the United States to purchase high-quality oil and gas.
According to international media reports, Trump made the remarks on his social media platform Truth Social, where he described global oil price fluctuations as “insignificant” and emphasized America’s energy strength.
He said that “massive empty oil tankers” are arriving in the US to load what he called “the best and highest-quality oil and gas in the world.”
Trump further claimed that the United States holds oil reserves exceeding the combined reserves of the next two largest oil-producing economies, adding that the quality of US energy resources is also superior.
The US president also invited other countries to accelerate their purchases, stating that America is ready to supply energy resources quickly.
However, the claims regarding the large-scale arrival of global oil tankers have not been independently verified.
The remarks come amid ongoing volatility in global energy markets, partly driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, including concerns over supply disruptions and strategic routes such as the Strait of Hormuz.
Analysts note that while the United States remains a major energy producer, global supply dynamics are influenced by multiple factors, including OPEC+ policies, regional conflicts, and shifting demand patterns.
