Trump Calls Iran Ceasefire a ‘Complete Victory’ for US

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has described the recently agreed two-week ceasefire with Iran as a “complete and total victory” for the United States, asserting that the agreement delivers strategic gains for Washington amid heightened Middle East tensions.

In an interview with AFP, Trump said the deal represents a “100% success” for the US, emphasizing that it would enable effective oversight of Iran’s uranium stockpiles. He claimed the arrangement would significantly limit Tehran’s nuclear capabilities, a key concern for Western powers.

Trump also credited China for playing a constructive role in facilitating negotiations, helping bring Iran to the bargaining table at a critical moment in the conflict.

In a separate statement posted on his Truth Social platform, the US president said Washington would assist in ensuring safe maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy corridor. He added that the US would remain actively engaged in maintaining stability in the region, including providing logistical and supply support.

The ceasefire comes after weeks of escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, which had raised fears of a broader regional conflict and disrupted global energy markets. Analysts say the truce could provide temporary relief to oil markets and geopolitical stability, although uncertainties remain over its long-term sustainability.
