US Missile Strike on Iran Sports Hall Kills 21 Civilians

Date:

Lamerd, Fars Province, Iran – Web Desk: A US missile strike on a sports hall in Lamerd, Fars Province, Iran, reportedly killed 21 civilians, including teenage boys and girls, according to Iranian officials. The attack has been widely condemned as a “despicable war crime.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the facility was crowded with young athletes when a precision strike missile hit the target. The missile reportedly detonated above the hall, dispersing thousands of tungsten pellets intended to maximize casualties, according to Iranian authorities.

Baghaei accused the United States of deliberately targeting civilians and called for international condemnation of the attack. No independent verification of casualties or the weapon used has yet been reported.

The strike adds to the escalating tension in the region, following ongoing military operations and exchanges between the United States and Iran.
