Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant surge on Monday, with rates rising by over PKR 15,000 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems & Jewelers Association (APGJA).
Following the increase, the price of gold per tola reached PKR 494,000, while 10 grams of gold now costs PKR 423,578, reflecting a jump of PKR 13,117.
The spike in domestic prices follows a rise in the international gold market, where gold surged by $153 per ounce, reaching $4,713 per ounce.
Analysts attribute the increase to global market trends, foreign exchange fluctuations, and heightened demand for precious metals amid economic uncertainties. Investors are advised to monitor both local and international factors impacting gold rates in the coming weeks.
