BEIRUT, Lebanon – Web Desk : At least six people were killed after Israel launched overnight airstrikes on multiple locations across Lebanon, according to international media reports.
Witnesses said the strikes caused fires at several sites, with thick smoke seen rising from targeted areas following the bombardment.
Israeli officials claimed that the attacks came after what they described as a coordinated assault against Israel involving the Iran-backed group Hezbollah and Iran. They said it was the first time since the start of the conflict that both parties had carried out a joint operation against Israel.
Iranian officials also confirmed that a coordinated attack had taken place.
According to Israeli media reports, around 150 rockets were fired toward Israel during the exchange of hostilities.
Hezbollah, however, said its fighters had targeted military installations near Tel Aviv, including a military intelligence headquarters located on the outskirts of the Israeli commercial hub.
Analysts warn that the latest exchange of strikes could further escalate tensions in the Middle East, raising fears that the conflict may expand beyond current battle lines.
