Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Web Desk: In response to escalating tensions in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia’s cabinet has affirmed the kingdom’s right to take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty and national security.
Under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a key virtual cabinet meeting reviewed the current regional security situation. The official statement following the session emphasized that Saudi Arabia will not refrain from taking essential actions to protect its land and national interests.
The cabinet praised the performance of the kingdom’s air defense systems, which successfully thwarted attempts to target critical infrastructure during recent attacks. Saudi media reported that the cabinet strongly condemned Iranian actions targeting Saudi Arabia, Gulf states, and other Arab nations, describing assaults on civilian areas and oil facilities as blatant violations of international law.
The statement also acknowledged constructive progress from joint ministerial sessions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union, while highlighting the significance of resolutions adopted by the Arab League’s foreign ministers condemning Iranian operations.
