(Web Desk) -Islamabad Services at the United States Embassy – Islamabad and American consulates across Pakistan have been temporarily suspended due to security considerations.
Diplomatic sources confirmed that routine services, including visa appointments and assistance for US citizens such as passport-related services, will remain unavailable until March 2, 2026. A new schedule for resumption of services will be announced at a later date.
The suspension was implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of diplomatic staff and visitors. Authorities noted that the decision follows heightened security concerns in the region amid recent tensions and protests outside diplomatic facilities.
Limited emergency services may still be provided in urgent cases, but routine operations remain on hold.
US officials have advised citizens to follow updates through official channels and comply with local security guidelines.
