Hillary and Bill Clinton to Testify Before House Panel on Epstein Case

Date:

Washington, USA – Web Desk: Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to appear before a House of Representatives panel investigating crimes linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, is also expected to testify separately on Friday.

According to international news agencies, the Clintons recently agreed to provide statements to the House Oversight Committee, marking a shift from their previous resistance which had characterized subpoenas as politically motivated. The agreement has averted potential contempt of Congress proceedings.

Republican committee chairman James Comer has described the testimonies as a bipartisan effort to clarify that no individual is above the law, despite earlier claims from the Clintons that the process aimed to politically embarrass them.

Hillary Clinton stated she does not recall any meetings or conversations with Epstein, while Bill Clinton acknowledged knowing Epstein but denied any involvement or knowledge of his criminal activities. He expressed regret over having been associated with Epstein decades ago.

The testimonies coincide with the U.S. Department of Justice’s phased release of documents related to Epstein investigations. The files reportedly reference multiple high-profile figures, including current President Donald Trump, although officials emphasize that appearing in the documents does not imply criminal wrongdoing.
